What is a sitter session?
A sitter session is a milestone photoshoot that celebrates your baby’s personality and growth, usually around 6 to 8 months, when they can sit up unassisted but aren’t quite crawling yet.
When should I schedule a sitter session?
It’s best to book once your baby is confidently sitting on their own, typically between 6 and 8 months. Every baby is different, so we’ll pick a date based on their developmental stage. If your baby is not fully sitting up by this time frame, we have props we can incorporate to keep them supported.
How long does a sitter session last?
These sessions are typically 30–60 minutes long. We keep it simple with two different setups to capture your baby’s sweet expressions before they get tired or overstimulated.
What should my baby wear?
I have a wide variety of outfits, bonnets, and accessories for sitter-aged babies, all designed to photograph beautifully. You’re welcome to bring your own, too and we can go over styling before your session.
Can I bring props or special items?
Of course! If you have something sentimental like a favorite toy, blanket, or heirloom item, we can incorporate it. We kindly ask that you inform us of something you would like us to photograph so we can plan accordingly. Otherwise, I provide a variety of props to match your chosen theme or color palette.
Are family or sibling photos included?
Sitter sessions are focused on your baby’s milestone, but if you'd like to include a few quick parent or sibling pictures, just let us know in advance. We can absolutely add that in.
How should I prepare for the session?
Make sure baby is well-rested and fed before the session. Bring a favorite snack or toy just in case, and we’ll handle the rest!
