A cake smash session is a fun and playful way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday! We photograph your little one with a custom setup, then let them dig into a cake while capturing all the sweet, silly moments.

Most families schedule cake smash sessions for around 11–12 months. If you'd like the photos back in time for a birthday party or invitations, we recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance. We need at least a two-week notice prior to the session for planning and creating a unique set.

Each cake smash includes a monochrome set for a few neutral pictures, a custom-designed setup based on your desired theme, use of my studio outfits and props, the cake (if included), and time for pre-cake portraits, the smash itself, and a clean-up bath splash at the end!

Yes! We provide a simple vanilla cake with buttercream frosting. If your child has allergies or you prefer to bring your own, just let me know so we can plan accordingly.

The sky is the limit! We’ll work with you to create a setup that fits your vision! You can share inspiration or choose from themes I’ve done before. We’ll coordinate colors, props, and outfits to match.

I have a selection of outfits available for cake smashes! Since most cake smash themes are so unique, we usually find an outfit that we think is most suitable based on the theme. You’re also welcome to bring your own if you have something specific in mind, we kindly ask that you coordinate with us to make sure the outfit is suitable.

Cake smash sessions typically last about 45–60 minutes. We work at baby’s pace, with plenty of time for breaks, cuddles, and cleanup.
